Also check out our packs of five sticks.The Solis data logging dongle is a very clever, simple, external plug-in device which plugs into the COM port of any Solis inverter. It provides a simple to install monitoring solution for end customers with access to web, iPhone and Android app monitoring. In addition, in the event of a detected fault, the system will email the end user for minimal downtime.

This product provides a user friendly, easily accessible solution to inverter monitoring.

Our dongles are uniquely delivered with a pre-paid data SIM card already fitted which has a ten year data plan throughout Europe and most of rest of the world. The SIM can join any mobile network and will select the strongest available. Simply connect the dongle to the COM port of the inverter and set up your account in the Solis Cloud app. Our automated process checks for newly powered dongles every half an hour and activates them automatically with the correct APN details, with no absolutely no configuration necessary on site.

These data sticks are ideal for installers and end users alike because they don’t require WiFi and they even work in the middle of nowhere! If your phone can find a reliable mobile signal then this data stick will. Installers no longer need to endure the customer who’s changed their Wi-Fi password but doesn’t know what to, nor take the phone call from the customer that has a new router and wants you to call round to re-attach their PV system to the Internet! No more dealing with an organisation’s IT department to get your inverter online!

Note: Please do not try to use the SIM card in other devices. The SIM card is locked to the IMEI number of the data logger.

Please be advised that we purchase the SIM cards for these sticks in small quantities because they are delivered to us with ten years and three months on the data plan, so we cannot keep them on the shelf for long. Our present stock level is shown under the product price above. You may still place an order if we’re awaiting stock and we will send it as soon as possible (usually within a week).

* note that the data plan includes 1GB of data which is sufficient for most requirements when monitoring one inverter. If multiple inverters are connected, or in the case of hybrid inverters, a data top up may be required. This is currently priced at £50 per 500MB.
